Bristol Wutan was started
September 2000 by senior instructor, Sarah Scotthorne
who has been teaching in Wutan since 1992, previously starting and running
the large Nottingham Wutan branch. Her students now teach in
Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham,
Brighton, Sheffield, Taunton, and Bristol, and she has been training with focus and
dedication since 1987, with Sifu They Soon Tuan (the founder of
Wutan UK based in Southampton). Sarah was selected as one of twelve
indoor students of Master Wu Song Fua ,(Sifu They's
teacher) on 1999, and has been training under his guidance since then.
At Wutan Bristol students can learn internal arts
of Tai Chi, Pa Kua,
Hsing Yi,
Chi Kung and pushing hands which has many health
benefits including increased flexibility, co-ordination, posture and
balance. Kung
Fu Styles taught include: Wing
Chun, Five Animals, Praying Mantis and Chang Chuan.
